Do I have any medical conditions?

Existing conditions

Duke has historic and current medical concerns, that will require consideration before he is rehomed.  Historically Duke has had otitis and cystitis, which are both now resolved. Currently, Duke has an abnormal gait, which our vets believe is a result of an old injury, this does not currently require treatment.

Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome this pet and you are a successful match.

We would also advise that any medical concern, be that historic or ongoing, is discussed with your own vet prior to any book out appointment.

Due to the nature of the medical concern, a vet call with one of our onsite vets will be required before the pet goes home.

Additional information

Duke can live with cats and dogs provided they have plenty of space and resources. He can live with securely caged small pets.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Because Duke can be spooked and a little shy, any children will need to be 7 years and over.

What type of environment would suit me?

Duke will need to be offered regular access to the outside world, even if he chooses not to go out himself.

About Duke

This handsome young man is Duke. He loves fuss. even when he was first here and was a little nervous he enjoyed cheek rubs from his hiding place. Now he will shout at you until you give him all the attention he desires. Duke loves a lap and enjoys being groomed, which is great as he needs a lot of it due to his incredibly thick fur.

We have included a picture of Duke post grooming, proving how much fur you can remove with the right brush!

Things to note

Due to his white fur, Duke will need pet safe sun cream applying to his ears and his nose in the Summer months.
