Support and Health

How much training will I need?

Needs some support

Can I be left alone?

Potentially, once settled

Ferb is a stray so we don’t know if he’s ever been left home alone. Due to this and his age, he is looking for owners who are at home most of the time and can build his home alone up gradually from scratch.

Do I have any medical conditions?

None

Who I can live with

Can I live with dogs?

Yes

Can I live with cats?

No

Can I live with small pets?

Yes, conditionally - securely housed

Additional information

Ferb loves other dogs but he does get frustrated because he wants to meet them. He could live with an well-socialised adult dog that can teach him boundaries but also play with him. Ferb cannot live with cats but could potentially live with securely housed small animals.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Ferb could potentially live with children aged 8 years above providing they are comfortable around an excitable, bouncy dog and can help with his training.

What type of environment would suit me?

Ferb needs a private, secure garden where he can play, train and burn off some energy.

About Ferb

Ferb is the sweetest boy with the most wonderful personality to go alongside! He loves seeing people and always has a wiggly body and waggy tail.

He is going through his adolescent phase so we are currently doing some training to help him through this. Ferb is an intelligent boy who picks things up quickly and is eager to please.

Ferb loves to meet dog friends that match his energy. Sometimes he cannot contain his excitement and may bark to get to them. We are working on his engagement as he will not be able to meet every dog unfortunately for him!

He will be great for someone who is is looking for a dog that can join them on their active adventures. Not only does Ferb love physical enrichment but he loves to use his brain too to work out food puzzles!

Goofy, elegant and strong contenders for the best snoozers, there are many sides to the lovely Lurcher! Learn more about the breed at Ask Woodgreen.
