Meet Gomez.
This handsome Lurcher, is a gentle, affectionate boy who is slowly discovering just how wonderful life can be. He can be a quite shy when meeting new people and sometimes finds the world a bit overwhelming, but with patience, kindness and a little encouragement, his lovely personality is shining through.
Gomez adores spending time with his doggy friends, enjoying a good sniff on his walks, relaxing in a sunny spot and, of course, a tasty cheesy snack!
Gomez will need a family who understands that confidence takes time and is happy to let him blossom at his own pace. In return, you’ll be rewarded with waggy tails, affectionate moments and the joy of watching this brave boy discover the world.
Could you be the special person Gomez is waiting for?
Gomez came into us as a stray so we don’t know how he will be when left home alone.
He will need a settling in period and his home alone training worked on, but he has the potential to do a few hours.
Gomez has a current medical condition, namely a dental, that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome them and you are a successful match.
We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking them home.
Gomez will need to live with a confident, well socialised dog in his new home.
He really gains his confidence when he’s got a dog friend to show him that the world isn’t so scary, when he first came on-site he needed a companion to help him get out of his kennel.
When first meeting another dog he can be shy and if the other dog is too much, he will take himself away.
Gomez can live with children aged 8+.
He is a shy boy when it comes to meeting new people and will need to go at his own pace.
It has taken him some time to build his confidence with his regular handlers but he now gets excited when he see’s them.
Gomez is a worried boy who is looking for owners who can take everything at his pace, and understand that he may always have a worried side to him.
Gomez will need a secure, private garden with a 6ft fence in his new home so that he’s got a safe space to gain his confidence and work on his toilet training.
