Could you star in The Dog House?
If you're looking for a match, filming for the next series starts this Spring.
Louie has historic medical concerns, namely cat flu, otitis and diarrhoea, that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome this pet and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical concern, be that historic or ongoing, is discussed with your own vet prior to any book out appointment.
Louie could live with cats as has done so before, with gradual introductions. He can live with cats that are fellow flu carriers, or healthy, fully vaccinated cats.
He hasn’t lived with a dog before but might be okay with a cat-friendly one, again with gradual introductions.
Small animals are fine if they are securely housed – keep in mind he is a large cat that can reach quite high.
Louie can live with adults and children aged 7 and over who can be calm around him and give him plenty of time and space to gain confidence at his own pace.
Louie is best suited to a low traffic area with a secured garden away from the road as he isn’t used to going outside.
Louie came to us through no fault of his own – He is a bit of a shy boy and likes to hide away to begin with, but is very sweet too. Whilst he is settling he likes a cosy spot to tuck away in, and will come out in his own time. Sometimes he is a little jumpy so can get scared easily. He would like a loving and patient household who can give him the time he needs to settle in and find his footing. Once he gains his confidence he meows to get your attention and loves fuss. When settled he will also show his playful side. Could you be the right home for our boy Louie?
Louie is currently living in a foster home and will be allocated a temporary unit at the centre on the day of book-out. Most cats find unfamiliar environments quite stressful and this can affect their behaviour in the cattery, meaning that you might not be able to observe what the cat’s temperament is typically like in a familiar setting. If you would like to meet this cat prior to rehoming, as a minimum you will be able to see the cat, but this may be the extent of the interaction depending on the cat’s response to the new environment
I'm auditioning a new family, but there are plenty of other cats in need of a good home. Why not take a look?
