Pet advice from Woodgreen
From behavioural issues to dietary needs, we’ve got you covered.
As he was a stray, we do not know if Mr Chips has been left home alone before. Any home alone time should be built up gradually, at a pace Mr Chips is comfortable with.
This pet has a clean bill of health and can be fully insured after rehoming.
Mr Chips doesn’t appear to gain much from interacting with other dogs and prefers simply doing his own thing.
For this reason, we feel Mr Chips would be happiest not greeting other dogs while out on walks. Instead, he will benefit from continuing his training to calmly disengage, walk past other dogs, and focus on enjoying his adventures with his people.
Mr Chips is friendly when meeting new people and will often approach with a waggy body and tail. However, he also has an independent side and isn’t constantly seeking attention. He loves spending time with his people and will happily ask for affection when he wants it, but he prefers fuss on his own terms and is happiest with people who respect when he’s had enough. He also enjoys learning and gets very excited when he’s rewarded for making good choices.
If Mr Chips were to live with children in his new home, we would recommend that they are aged 13 or over.
He will need his new home to have a secure, private garden where he can enjoy some off-lead zoomies and playtime. He loves toys, particularly flinging them around and zooming about with them. His favourites are definitely soft, squeaky teddies!
Meet Mr Chips!
“Say what you see!” If what you see is a handsome lad with a toy in his mouth, a sparkle in his eye, and a love of cheese, then you’ve got the answer… Mr Chips!
Mr Chips is a sweet-natured boy with a charming independent streak. He’s perfectly happy entertaining himself, and you could spend hours watching him launch his toys into the air, chase after them, and invent his own games. It’s impossible not to smile at his antics!
When it comes to food, “It’s good, but it’s not right!”… unless there’s cheese involved! Mr Chips is a true foodie, and tasty treats make him a brilliant training partner. He’s eager to learn, loves earning rewards, and is always ready to show off his clever side when snacks are on offer.
Like many sensitive souls, Mr Chips can sometimes find the world a little overwhelming. He’ll thrive with kind, patient people who can offer him reassurance when he needs it and help build his confidence at his own pace. Once he trusts you, you’ll have a loyal companion who’ll make every day brighter.
So, “What do points make?” A forever home! And Mr Chips is hoping his next answer is finding the family that’s just right for him.
