Additional information

Like other small pets, they should be kept safely away from other animals in the home. As prey animals, they may feel threatened by the presence of other species such as dogs and cats.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Guinea pigs can make lovely pets for all the family; they are loveable and charming little animals. Some confident piggies can rule the roost with their wheeking for veggies and demands of a cheeky little head rub from the get-go. Being prey animals they can get spooked quite easily, and it may take time for some guinea pigs to feel safe in their new home. Like any animal, treating them with kindness and patience, you will provide them with a safe environment for them to gain confidence.

What type of environment would suit me?

The minimum accommodation for a pair of guinea pigs consists of a 5 x 2ft sheltered space, such as a hutch, Wendy house, shed or indoor accommodation. Along with a 6 x 4ft wooden framed run with a removeable/hinged lid, or equivalent indoor free-range space (if no access to garden) with a minimum of 18inches high.

About Nova

Nova, a beautiful guinea pig with a curious nature and love for exploring.

Nova is a bright and inquisitive girl who enjoys investigating everything around her. While she may take a little time to settle into new surroundings, once she feels comfortable her personality really begins to shine. Watching Nova confidently explore and investigate every corner is a joy!

She has a gentle nature and is becoming more confident every day. Given the time and patience to settle in, Nova rewards her carers with plenty of entertaining moments.

Nova is now looking for a guinea pig friend to spend her days with. As a social animal, she would love the companionship of other guinea pigs who can help her grow in confidence and enjoy all the fun that guinea pig life has to offer. With her curious personality and sweet nature, Nova is sure to bring lots of happiness to her future home.

Can you give Nova the loving home and companionship she’s been waiting for?
