Pet advice from Woodgreen
From behavioural issues to dietary needs, we’ve got you covered.
This handsome young man is Oscar.
Sadly this is not Oscars first stay with us, we are hoping that this time around he finds the perfect home.
Oscar is a friendly boy once he is settled and confident in his environment. He prefers fuss on his terms so it is always best to wait for him to come to you, which he will by rubbing around your legs and occasionally climbing up and putting his paws onto your lap for attention.
Oscar can be slightly temperamental, and will tell you off if he is unhappy. You can always make friends again with Dreamies once he has calmed down.
Oscar is a playful boy and enjoys mouse toys the most. He also shows the typical cat behaviour of climbing into unattended boxes and bags.
Oscar has a current medical concern, namely a grade 3 heart murmur, that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Oscar is also in need of a dental operation, however this can be done as a comeback appointment after rehoming.
Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome Oscar and you are a successful match.
We would also advise that any medical concern, be that historic or ongoing, is discussed with your own vet prior to any book out appointment.
Oscar has lived with a cat before and could do so again with gradual introductions. We believe he would also be ok to live with a cat-friendly dog.
Small pets should be securely housed.
Due to Oscars occasional unpredictable behaviour we are recommending an adult only home.
Oscar loves to be outside. He has avoided roads so far so would likely do so again if rehomed to a busier area. Having his own private garden would be ideal.
