Pet advice from Woodgreen
From behavioural issues to dietary needs, we’ve got you covered.
Due to being a stray we are unsure if Otto has been left in a home on his own before. He will need any home alone time built up gradually once he has settled in but he should be able to do a few hours.
Otto is currently experiencing an episode of diarrhoea. He has previously had an episode of dermatitis, which has now fully resolved. These will require consideration before rehoming. Our rehoming team will be able to provide further information about his medical history if you apply to rehome him and are identified as a suitable match.
We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking them home.
Due to the nature of the medical condition, a vet call with one of our onsite vets will be required before the pet goes home.
Otto enjoys seeing other dogs, but if he can’t greet them he may show his frustration by barking. He is undergoing training for this which he’s doing really well with, and should continue in his new home.
Otto would enjoy having some walking buddies in his new home. However, his enthusiasm can be a little overwhelming for some dogs, so any canine companions should be chosen with this in mind.
Otto can live with children aged 11+ who are used to a big, excitable boy.
As he came to us a stray we are unsure if he has been around children previously. On foster he has met an 11 year old child in the home and was the same as he is with adults, friendly and happy to have fuss.
He’s a very social boy who greets people with a waggy tail, when he’s out and about he’s happy to walk past people, enjoying his walk.
Otto would like a secure, private garden in his new home.
Otto is a handsome Rottweiler cross with a heart as big as his smile. This charming boy is full of character and brings joy wherever he goes, thanks to his permanently waggy tail and loving nature.
Otto’s favourite thing in the world is spending time with his people. Whether he’s following you around the house, or simply relaxing by your side, he’s happiest when he’s close to those he loves. Affection is his love language.
When it comes to exercise, Otto enjoys gentle strolls where he can take in the sights and smells at his own pace. After a leisurely walk, you’ll usually find him curled up in a cosy spot, snoozing the day away and dreaming of his next adventure.
With his handsome looks, sweet temperament, and endless affection, Otto is sure to make a wonderful companion for a family looking for a loyal best friend. If you’re searching for a dog who will fill your home with love, companionship, and a constantly wagging tail, Otto could be the perfect match.
