Support and Health

How much training will I need?

Needs ongoing support

Can I be left alone?

Potentially, once settled

Pebbles will need her home alone time building up slowly once she’s settled in her new home. She should be able to be left for a few hours once the training has been worked on, at a pace Pebbles is comfortable with.

Do I have any medical conditions?

History of

Pebbles has historic medical conditions, namely lameness, that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome them and you are a successful match.

We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking them home.

Additional information

Pebbles is nervous of other dogs which shows as her barking at them. She is undergoing training to help her feel more comfortable around other dogs which she’s doing really well with and will need to continue in her new home.

Pebbles will need quiet walking area’s away from other dogs as even with training, she still gets overwhelmed.

Pebbles is looking for understanding owners who are happy that she may never want to interact with other dogs.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Pebbles can live with children aged 11+ who are comfortable around a large, bouncy dog.

She is a friendly girl with everyone she meets, but can be more cautious of new people when walking in the dark.

Once she’s got to know you, you will be her top priority, even more important than her food! She’s loves interacting with her people, whether it’s playing, training or getting fuss, she just likes to be involved in daily activities.

What type of environment would suit me?

Pebbles will need her own private, secure garden with 6ft fencing to explore and run around in.

About Pebbles

Pebbles is a bright and active Shepherd with a huge personality and an even bigger love for adventure.

She thrives when her mind and body are kept busy, whether that’s chasing her favourite ball, training, exploring new scents, or taking part in fun enrichment activities.

Busy walks and crowded environments can sometimes feel overwhelming for Pebbles, and she may react to other dogs when she’s feeling stressed or overstimulated.

Pebbles is looking for an active home that appreciates the intelligence and energy of Shepherds. She would thrive with a family who enjoy training and outdoor activities.

German Shepherds are loyal watchdogs that love to keep their bodies and brains working overtime. Learn more about the breed at Ask Woodgreen.
