Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Mice can make lovely first-time pets for children who are calm, patient and confident. They often enjoy coming out to be handled and will happily take treats from your hands. A family who finds joy in watching their pets have fun climbing and exploring their set ups would be perfect for mice, they can be busy little beings. Being small animals, they will need gentle handling and a quiet approach, as they can sometimes be startled – and can be quick when they run.

What type of environment would suit me?

A group of up to 6 mice will need a cage measuring at least 100cm wide by 50cm deep by 35cm high, with bar spacing of no more than 7mm. This will provide them with space for you to add lots of activities for them to climb and explore, as well as giving them enough floor space to do lots of running around on and bedding that they can dig and forage in. Although they are small, they are very busy and energetic.

About Perla, Drizella, Thimble, Sif, Eir and Hel

This group of sweet girlies are looking for their new home. We have recently mixed Drizella, Thimble and Perla with the other three girls, and it was an instant bond. They have been progressing so well in their mix, and they are all often found huddling together sleeping. These girls are on the older side and have all slowed down with their age, you will often find them mooching around foraging for their breakfast or taking a big sleep in a 6 mouse pile! They are all very sweet girls who enjoy to come out to see what treats can be offered, quite happily taking them from your fingers. Sif and Eir are on the more nervous side and do tend to move away from your hands whilst in their enclosure.

If you are the right family for these beautiful six girls, please do get in contact with us via the website.
