Support and Health

How much training will I need?

Needs ongoing support

Can I be left alone?

Potentially, once settled

We have no knowledge of how Perry is when left home alone as he was a stray.

Perry will need a settling in period in his new environment, before building up any time alone from scratch.

Do I have any medical conditions?

Existing conditions

Perry has current medical conditions, namely an ear infection, required dental and being underweight, that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome them and you are a successful match.

We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking them home.

Due to the nature of the medical condition, a vet call with one of our onsite vets will be required before the pet goes home.

Who I can live with

Can I live with dogs?

No

Can I live with cats?

No

Can I live with small pets?

Yes, conditionally - Securely housed and kept completely separately.

Additional information

Perry isn’t always a social butterfly, but he seeks out the company of people more than dogs.

Generally, Perry is quite independent and will let you know when he wants to have a fuss by becoming a wiggly boy and nestling in to you.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Perry came in as a stray, therefore we do not know how he has been around children.

Due to this any children in his new home need to be aged 8 years plus.

What type of environment would suit me?

Perry will need his own secure, private garden where he can explore and bring out his playful side.

Having this will also aid his ongoing training.

About Perry

Perry – or Perry the Platypus, as he’s professionally known!

This sweet Lurcher is looking for his forever home. Perry loves being around people and getting plenty of fuss and attention — he’s a real sweetheart who just wants to be loved.

We don’t know how much experience Perry has had of home life, but we do know one thing for sure: he deserves the chance to find out what having a loving, secure home of his own is all about.

If you’re a Phineas and Ferb fan, you might recognise where his name comes from! And while our Perry may not be a secret agent in disguise, he’s certainly on an important mission of his own — finding his forever family.

Goofy, elegant and strong contenders for the best snoozers, there are many sides to the lovely Lurcher! Learn more about the breed at Ask Woodgreen.
