Support and Health

How much training will I need?

Needs ongoing support

Can I be left alone?

Yes

Phoebe has been left home alone for around half a day in her previous home, she should be able to do this again after a settling in period and having her training refreshed.

Do I have any medical conditions?

None

Phoebe has a current medical condition, namely she is having physio to strengthen her foot, that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome them and you are a successful match.

We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking them home.

Who I can live with

Can I live with dogs?

No

Can I live with cats?

No

Can I live with small pets?

No

Additional information

Phoebe is unsure around other dogs which can show as her barking at them. She is undergoing training for this which she is doing well with and should be continued in her new home.

Phoebe would benefit from owners who are committed to continuing her training and socialisation to help build her confidence around dogs in public and in time she can have some walking buddies who won’t be worried by her over the top play style.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Phoebe can live with children aged 11+.

She can be worried of new people but letting her approach when she’s ready, she will soon warm up.

Once she’s got to know you she gets very excited to see her people. She’s currently in a foster home where she is enjoying her home comforts and if she can’t finish a treat, she’ll hide it for later. Her fosterers have heard her having a cheeky midnight snack.

What type of environment would suit me?

Phoebe will need a secure, private garden in her new home. She does enjoy digging so she would benefit from a sandpit.

She can be worried by things she hasn’t come across before but with some reassurance she will continue her walk.

We have been doing some scent work with her on walks to help build her confidence and she has been enjoying watching the world go by.

About Phoebe

Phoebe is a sweet girl who needs someone that can help build her confidence when out and about.

She is very training minded and showing real progress in a short amount of time. Anyone would be lucky to call Phoebe a friend she is affectionate and happy to see you at every moment, she just wants to spend time with you, share space with you.

She loves food, this makes training that little bit easier.

Phoebe has the sweetest of faces and is beautiful inside and out.
