Pet advice from Woodgreen
From behavioural issues to dietary needs, we’ve got you covered.
Ralphy is a very sweet and affectionate boy towards his human friends. He loves going on walks and plodding along.
Ralphy struggles to be around other dogs as he is very under-socialised and doesn’t know how to respond or be around them, so he does require some training in this area. He would love to live in a low dog-populated area but it can have as many humans as you like. He loves all people and is such a wonderful, loving boy.
Ralphy was left for a couple of hours in his previous home and seemed to cope with this. If he was left any longer than 4 hours, he would toilet. After an initial settling-in period, he should be fine for a couple of hours, provided this is built up.
This pet has medical concerns, namely lameness and a lump removal, that require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome this pet and you are a successful match. We would also advise
that any medical concern, be that historic or ongoing, is discussed with your own vet prior to any book-out appointment. Due to the nature of the medical concern, a vet call with one of our onsite vets will be required before the pet goes home.
Ralphy is vocal when he sees another dog and is undergoing training to help him with this. This is a work in progress and something his new owners will need to commit to continuing on walks.
Ralphy is used to living in a quiet area where he doesn’t see many other dogs and is looking for a similar environment in his new home. He needs to be the only dog in the home and cannot live with any cats or small animals.
Ralphy has been around younger children and is a very sociable, affectionate boy. Due to his behaviour around other dogs and sensitivity around his feet, he would prefer to live with children aged 8 years and above.
Ralphy needs a private, secure garden where he can enjoy some off lead time.
