Support and Health

Do I have any medical conditions?

Existing conditions

Snoopy has historic/current medical concerns, namely a previously blocked bladder and metatarsal & pelvic fracture that was repaired and he has a gait abnormality as a result of this and gastroenteritis which has resolved, that will require consideration before he is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome this pet and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical concern, be that historic or ongoing, is discussed with your own vet prior to any book out appointment. Due to the nature of the medical concern, a vet call with one of our onsite vets will be required before the pet goes home.

Who I can live with

Can I live with dogs?

No

Can I live with cats?

No

Can I live with small pets?

Yes

Additional information

Due to a previous medical condition, which can be caused by stress, it is important that Snoopy doesn’t share a home with any other cats or dogs. He could live with securely housed small pets.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Snoopy loves attention once settled so would love to find a new family that are able to provide him with plenty! He can live with children aged 7+, as long as they are able to provide him space and time to settle and whenever else he needs – while he has been known to behave well around children, he needs a slightly quieter environment to avoid becoming over-stressed.

What type of environment would suit me?

Snoopy has had very limited outdoor access so hasn’t had much experience with being outside and exploring – he would love a quiet garden to find his feet in and gain some confidence with wider outdoor access! He would need a low-cat populated area to avoid external stressors from causing him excess stress.
Due to his lack of experience of the outside world, it’s also likely that he won’t be very roadwise – he would love to live in an area with a low traffic flow.

Due to previous fractures, Snoopy can struggle with slippery surfaces.

About Snoopy

Meet Snoopy – this handsome boy came to us through no fault of his own after his previous owners sadly couldn’t take him to their new accommodation. After a week or so to settle in, Snoopy has gone from a shy chap to super confident! Once he is comfortable , he loves to roll around on the floor at your feet and enjoys lots of fuss and attention! He enjoys nothing more than tasty snacks, specifically dreamies, and having a game chasing ping pong balls and playing fetch with his little mice toys.

Things to note

Snoopy is currently living in a foster home and will be allocated a temporary unit at the centre on the day of book-out. Most cats find unfamiliar environments quite stressful and this can affect their behaviour in the cattery, meaning that you might not be able to observe what the cat’s temperament is typically like in a familiar setting. If you would like to meet this cat prior to rehoming, as a minimum you will be able to see the cat, but this may be the extent of the interaction depending on the cat’s response to the new environment.
