Could you star in The Dog House?
If you're looking for a match, filming for the next series starts this Spring.
Socks has historic medical concerns, namely previous cat bite abscesses and he will is booked for some dental work, that will require consideration before he is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome this pet and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical concern, be that historic or ongoing, is discussed with your own vet prior to any book out appointment.
Socks is looking to be the only cat in the home. He may be ok to live with a calm dog with careful introductions. Small pets will need to be securely housed.
Socks can live with a family with children 7yrs+, as long as he is given time and space to settle as he can be shy to start. Socks has been used to a quiet home with minimal comings and goings, but seems confident and friendly so should adapt to a busier home with time.
Socks has been used to going outdoors and exploring for a couple of hours a day. He has been used to a quiet area and so would be best suited to a lower traffic area such as a village or cul-de-sac
Once settled, Socks is a lovely social and confident boy, greeting his carers in the morning with quiet vocalisations. He actively seeks attention and likes his head scratches and grooming.
Socks is currently living in a foster home and will be allocated a temporary unit at the centre on the day of book-out. Most cats find unfamiliar environments quite stressful and this can affect their behaviour in the cattery, meaning that you might not be able to observe what the cat’s temperament is typically like in a familiar setting. If you would like to meet this cat prior to rehoming, as a minimum you will be able to see the cat, but this may be the extent of the interaction depending on the cat’s response to the new environment.
Ready to get started? We always start with our pets’ individual needs, which is why we need to find out a bit more about you first.
