Support and Health

How much training will I need?

Needs ongoing support

Can I be left alone?

Potentially, once settled

Tank has been left for a couple of hours in his history successfully. He will need any home alone training to be worked on once he’s settled into his new home gradually to keep him comfortable with this.

Do I have any medical conditions?

None

This pet has a clean bill of health and can be fully insured after rehoming.

Who I can live with

Can I live with dogs?

No

Can I live with cats?

Can I live with small pets?

Additional information

Tank gets excited when he sees other dogs on walks and is keen to go over and say hello. He would benefit from having some appropriately sized walking buddies to help him maintain his great social skills. We feel he is best to be the only dog in the home however.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Tank is a friendly, social boy who enjoys meeting new people – he has happily let children stroke him out on walks. As he’s currently in his adolescent phase and can be a big, bouncy boy (sometimes forgetting his manners) – he would be best suited to a home with confident, dog-savvy children aged 13+ who can continue working on his manners and not be worried by his 45kg size.

What type of environment would suit me?

Tank will need his own secure, private garden to play with all his toys off lead in and to zoom around!

About Tank

Tank is a big boy with a heart of gold and an affectionate, happy nature to match. He loves being around his people and enjoys plenty of fuss and attention, forming strong bonds with those he knows. He’s an active lad who enjoys getting out and about, and one of his favourite pastimes is throwing a tennis ball around for himself to stay entertained.

Tank enjoys meeting new people and other dogs, showing a friendly and social side. While he can sometimes be a little excitable, we are working on his manners and he already has excellent foundations in place. He responds well to guidance and would thrive in a home that continues his training, helping him grow into a well-mannered and devoted companion.

Rottweilers are confident and intelligent dogs who are best suited for an experienced family. Learn more about the breed at Ask Woodgreen.
