Support and Health

How much training will I need?

Needs settling in

Can I be left alone?

Yes

Teddy wasn’t left much in his previous home and when he was, it was in the company of another dog.

Since loosing his friend he may struggle a bit more with being left home alone so he will need a settling in period and any home alone training worked on, at his pace.

Teddy has the potential to do a few hours.

Do I have any medical conditions?

Existing conditions

Teddy has current medical conditions, namely conjunctivitis and he requires a dental, that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome them and you are a successful match.

We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking them home.

Who I can live with

Can I live with dogs?

Yes

Can I live with cats?

No

Can I live with small pets?

Yes, conditionally - Securely housed pets that he cannot access

Additional information

Teddy doesn’t show much interest in other dogs when he’s out on walks but will greet other dogs politely, then continue on his walk.

He has always lived another dog who he was quite bonded to but he unfortunately lost her recently.

Teddy has the potential to live with another similar sized dog again who, like himself, is on the calmer side and will give him space when he wants it.

He wants a companion to relax with rather than a play mate.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Teddy can live with children aged 8+.

He’s a sweet boy who enjoys being with his favourite people but he’s an older chap who is looking for a quieter life.

What type of environment would suit me?

Teddy will need a secure, private garden in his new home. This will help with his toilet training and give him a safe place to stretch his legs.
