Pet advice from Woodgreen
From behavioural issues to dietary needs, we’ve got you covered.
Toulouse has historic medical concerns, namely a tongue ulcer and a bite wound which have both resolved, that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome this pet and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical concern, be that historic or ongoing, is discussed with your own vet prior to any book out appointment.
Toulouse is looking to be the only pet in the home.
He is also an avid hunter so cannot be homed with small pets.
Toulouse is looking for an adult only or home with older teenagers who will read his body language. He will benefit from a patient and calm approach in the home. Generally, once settled, he is very affectionate and loves company.
He enjoys being outside, and ideally would be best with a cat flap so he can come and go as he pleases. He would do best in an area without too many neighbourhood cats as he has been known to fight in the past.
Handsome, charming, and just a little bit particular – that’s Toulouse. Since arriving at Woodgreen, he’s relaxed into centre life and shown us just how affectionate and companionable he can be.
This refined feline loves nothing more than being near his people, whether it’s curling up on your lap (complete with happy dribbles when he’s truly content), keeping you company while you relax in front of the TV, or sleeping on top of you whilst you’re in bed!
Toulouse has a big heart and enjoys fuss, companionship, and being involved in your day – in fact, he’ll call out to you just to make sure you don’t forget to say hello, preferably before you dare to get on with any other tasks! He does have a sensitive side and, in the past, has reacted with a nip when something upset him, though the exact triggers aren’t clear. With a calm, gentle approach, his affectionate and loyal nature shines through.
Independent and proud, Toulouse likes to be the centre of attention and would prefer a home with no other pets, and ideally very few neighbouring cats as he is known for liking his space. He’s also quite the hunter, so his lucky new owner might find the occasional “gift” left at the doorstep.
If you’re looking for a companion who’s equal parts loving, distinguished, and a little bit cheeky, Toulouse is ready to claim the warmest spot in your home and your heart.
Toulouse is currently living in a foster home and will be allocated a temporary unit at the centre on the day of book-out. Most cats find unfamiliar environments quite stressful and this can affect their behaviour in the cattery, meaning that you might not be able to observe what the cat’s temperament is typically like in a familiar setting. If you would like to meet this cat prior to rehoming, as a minimum you will be able to see the cat, but this may be the extent of the interaction depending on the cat’s response to the new environment.
