Woodgreen is redefining rescue. We step in before a moment of crisis becomes a heartbreaking separation, offering free, practical support to help keep pets and their people together – improving the welfare of dogs, cats and small animals. This is how we rescue.

Our teams work in pet owners’ homes and the community to provide the right support at the right time – from health checks and behaviour advice to emergency food, veterinary support and ongoing care. And when staying together isn’t possible, Woodgreen continues to care for pets, giving them the shelter, support and kindness they need until they can find another loving home.

Helping Esme heal in an experienced foster home

It took 44 days for Esme to get better. While the first 24 hours were crucial, a dedicated foster home is where she could start to heal.

Found with a ruptured eyeball

Hope the three-year-old Chihuahua was found alone, with a bloodshot and ruptured eyeball that was causing unimaginable pain.

Adolescent Luna needed behaviour support

When Luna the German Shepherd transitioned from puppy to adolescent, her owners turned to Woodgreen for help with some tricky behaviours.
