Mending Leon’s Leg

Four-year-old Leon arrived at Woodgreen in a shocking state with a serious leg injury. He was probably hit by a car, leaving him with a limp and in urgent need of care.

An X-ray showed significant ligament damage – it was so bad that he was at risk of losing his leg.

Fortunately, our amazing Vet team were able to mend his leg in surgery with the use of an artificial ligament. And with plenty of love and care to help him heal and rebuild his confidence, this brave boy soon bounced back. Whilst waiting for a new home, he spent time with a fosterer who offered him extra care and comfort which paved the way to his forever home with new owner Lisa.

Here’s what she said about how Leon is getting on now:

“Leon has been his usual mischievous self and has developed a very loud meow, which usually occurs if he isn’t getting enough fuss! He loves nothing more than snuggling on the sofa with us in the evening and even sharing a spot with our dog Bella – they look out for each other. He’s a great cat and we love having him around!”
