Additional information

Like other small pets, they should be kept safely away from other animals in the home. As prey animals, they may feel threatened by the presence of other species such as cats and dogs.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Some rabbits can really enjoy the companionship of humans and become very affectionate, other rabbits are more independent and prefer to keep to themselves with a nice routine. A family who can provide a safe environment with gentle and calm interactions can create beautiful bonds with their rabbits, helping them feel safe. Being a prey species and not enjoying being handled, they are often suited to families with older children.

What type of environment would suit me?

The minimum space for a pair of rabbits is an area measuring 3m long x 2m wide x 1m high.

This can be achieved using a predator proof run or aviary. In addition, they will need access to a sheltered area of at least 6 x 2 ft, such as a hutch, shed or Wendy house, which should be securely attached to or placed within the run. Rabbits will need to have 24-hour access to both the run and shelter.

Or, if you plan on keeping your rabbits indoors, they will either need 24-hour access to a large rabbit-safe room measuring at least 3m x 2m in size, or have a designated space sectioned within a room of the same size.

While they may be allowed to have access to other areas of the house, it is important that they have a designated space where they can retreat to feel safe.

About Jaffa and Galaxy

Jaffa and Galaxy are two incredibly friendly young boy rabbits with big personalities and a real love for company. These two little characters will happily hop over to say hello, rush over for attention, and make sure they’re always involved in whatever you’re doing.

Both boys are full of confidence and curiosity. They love hopping onto laps for a fuss, exploring their surroundings, and getting themselves into places they probably shouldn’t! Their playful and mischievous nature makes them a joy to spend time with, and they’ll keep you entertained with their adventurous antics.

Jaffa and Galaxy are especially excited when it’s treat time and will come running over to see what goodies you have for them. While they love spending time with you, like most rabbits they aren’t keen on being picked up and would much rather keep all four paws on the ground, or up against your back trying to hop over you!

This lovely pair would thrive in a home where they can have plenty of space to explore, lots of enrichment, and a family who appreciates their fun, friendly, and slightly cheeky personalities.
