Could you star in The Dog House?
If you're looking for a match, filming for the next series starts this Spring.
Mr Darcy has current & historical medical concerns, namely otitis (he has had both ear canals removed to resolve this) and a heart murmur, that will require consideration before he is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome this pet and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical concern, be that historic or ongoing, is discussed with your own vet prior to any book out appointment.
Mr Darcy is looking for a home where he is the only pet.
Mr Darcy would be fine with calm children aged 7 and over, who can give him his space when he wants it.
Mr Darcy needs plenty of outdoor access, preferably via a cat flap. He is not used to busy traffic and is deaf so will need access via a safe back garden away from the road, in a low traffic area.
Meet Mr Darcy – It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a household in possession of a quiet disposition (or maybe not when he’s meowing) and a fondness for feline company must be in want of a cat such as Mr Darcy.
He is a strikingly handsome and charismatic cat looking for a special forever home. Charming and affectionate, Mr Darcy loves fuss and attention (plus his toy Aubergine)– He’s full of personality and will make a wonderful companion for the right person.
Mr Darcy would thrive best in a residence of low feline society, for he does not relish the company of other cats, preferring instead to preside over his domain unchallenged. He’s a confident explorer who’s used to having lots of outdoor access via a cat flap and enjoys spending time outside.
Following surgery to remove his ear canals, Mr Darcy is now deaf, so he’ll need a quiet, low-traffic environment where he can stay safe while enjoying his wanderings. In his foster home, he is being taught sign language and has learnt three words so far! He’s a big fan of food – especially when it involves a bit of fun!
Should you possess a tranquil home and outdoor space, and a heart inclined toward a companion of notable spirit and distinction, you may find in Mr Darcy a most rewarding and devoted acquaintance.
Mr Darcy is currently living in a foster home and will be allocated a temporary unit at the centre on the day of book-out. Most cats find unfamiliar environments quite stressful and this can affect their behaviour in the cattery, however given its confident and sociable nature this cat will be suitable for a meet prior to rehoming.
