Additional information

Like other small pets, they should be kept safely away from other animals in the home. As prey animals, they may feel threatened by the presence of other species, such as cats and dogs.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Guinea pigs can make lovely pets for all the family; they are loveable and charming little animals. Some confident piggies can rule the roost with their wheeking for veggies and demands of a cheeky little head rub from the get-go. Being prey animals they can get spooked quite easily, and it may take time for some guinea pigs to feel safe in their new home. Like any animal, treating them with kindness and patience, you will provide them with a safe environment for them to gain confidence.

What type of environment would suit me?

The minimum accommodation for a pair of boy guinea pigs consists of a minimum 6 x 2ft sheltered space, such as a hutch, Wendy house, shed or indoor accommodation. Along with a 6 x 4ft wooden framed run with a removeable/hinged lid, or equivalent indoor free-range space (if no access to garden) with a minimum of 18inches high.

About Pepsi

Pepsi is a gorgeous boy who was born here with us, and now he’s ready to find his forever home.

He’s a gentle, shy little lad who likes to take his time getting to know people, but one thing that always brings him out of his shell is food! As soon as he hears the rustle of the treat bag or the rustle of the veg and forage, he’ll let you know all about it with the sweetest little squeaks.

Pepsi would love a home with another friendly male guinea pig to help show him the ropes and build his confidence. Like all guinea pigs, he thrives with company, and having a piggy friend will help him settle into his new home and let his personality shine.

He’s a lovely little boy with so much potential, and with patience, kindness, and a piggy companion by his side, we’re sure he’ll grow into a confident and happy little character.

If you think you could offer Pepsi the loving home he’s looking for, we’d love to hear from you.

Things to note
