Pet advice from Woodgreen
From behavioural issues to dietary needs, we’ve got you covered.
The kittens can live with any other pets with careful introductions and enough space/resources for everyone. Small pets should be securely housed.
Mussel is a worried little man and so is looking for a home with children 13yrs+ who will give him time and space to settle. Clam, Oyster and Scallop can be rehomed with children 7yrs+, they are shy whilst settling into a new environment and so children will need to be calm and quiet around them
The kittens will need inside and outside access with gradual introductions to outside once old enough and settled into their new home. Where possible these introductions should be through a garden and not directly onto a road.
Found as strays at a Shell garage, these four little treasures were given suitably seaside-inspired names, and now they’re ready to find harbours of their own.
Like many kittens who didn’t have the best start, they’re a little shy when meeting new people. Give them a little time, patience and plenty of tasty treats, and you’ll discover their lovely personalities.
Clam (black & white-female) – May seem a little closed at first, but before long you’ll find the sweet kitten hidden inside the shell.
Oyster (black-female)– A gentle soul who’s waiting for the right person to discover the little pearl within.
Scallop (black-male)– Quiet to begin with but blossoms into a friendly, playful companion once settled.
Mussel (black-male) – The most cautious of the quartet. Mussel is still very wary of people and will need an especially patient, understanding home that’s happy to let trust grow at their pace. Watching Mussel come out of their shell will be incredibly rewarding.
These kittens can be adopted individually or in pairs, depending on what suits your home.
If you’ve got a little patience and a lot of love to give, one (or two!) of these shell-tastic kittens could be just the catch you’ve been looking for.
This cat has been reserved, but you can still apply to adopt. Submit a general application and you could be matched with other cats looking for a home.
