Meet Blade

Meet Blade, our handsome Lurcher with a big heart and a beautiful smile! This lovely older gentleman has plenty of fun and affection to share. Blade is a happy, friendly boy who adores meeting people, making new doggy friends and being showered with fuss and attention. He enjoys leisurely walks, pottering about outdoors and would make a wonderful companion for café trips, pub lunches or simply relaxing in the sunshine.

Blade could potentially share his home with a friendly, easy-going dog and would love a secure garden where he can enjoy a little sunbathing and his adorable slow-motion zoomies! He’s looking for a loving home where he can enjoy life at his own pace, with plenty of companionship, gentle handling and cosy cuddles. After losing his beloved owner, Blade deserves a fresh start with someone special who will show him just how wonderful life can be. Could you be the one to give this smiley boy his happily ever after?

Support and Health

How much training will I need?

Needs some support

Can I be left alone?

Potentially, once settled

Blade has been left for short periods in his foster home. Blade would benefit from some training to build up his home alone slowly in his new home.

Do I have any medical conditions?

Existing conditions

Blade has Arthritis , this will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. He also has a fatty lump and had an episode of vomiting.  Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome them and you are a successful match.

We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking them home.

Due to the nature of the medical condition, a vet call with one of our onsite vets will be required before the pet goes home.

Who I can live with

Can I live with dogs?

Yes

Can I live with cats?

No

Can I live with small pets?

Yes, conditionally - Blade could live with securely housed small pets

Additional information

Blade could live with another dog who is social and doesn’t mind baring with a slightly slower dog.
He would also be able to have polite walking buddies who wont jump all over him as he does have some wear and tear with his joints as he’s gotten older.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Blade could live with children aged 8 years +. He is a happy, friendly and social boy, he enjoys meeting people and loves having a gentle fuss.

What type of environment would suit me?

Blade would like a home with a little garden for him to sunbathe, roam and have little zoomies in. It would need to be a fully enclosed private garden.
