Hammy is a lovely little hamster who came into us after her previous family had some changes in circumstances.
She’s a confident girl who enjoys nothing more than exploring! We often see her rummaging around foraging for her food, or digging and making new tunnels to her den.
Hammy enjoys the company of her carers, but can get spooked when approached quickly.
Once Hammy has had some time to settle and trust, you can give a little call of her name and she will come over to say hello.
Accommodation requirements
If the hamster you’re looking at is a Syrian or Chinese, they’ll need an enclosure at least 100cm wide, 50cm deep and 50cm high, with 1cm bar spacing. Females are often more active, so may need more room.
Dwarf and Roborovski hamsters need at least 100cm x 50cm x 40cm, with 7mm bar spacing to keep them safe.
