Pet advice from Woodgreen
From behavioural issues to dietary needs, we’ve got you covered.
Jim is a wonderful boy with so much love to give. He adores spending time with his people and loves nothing more than curling up into a little ball on the sofa beside them.
He is looking for patient, understanding owners who can offer him the support, guidance and ongoing training to help him be calmer when seeing other dogs. Jim can walk with sociable dogs and have some play friends after settling into his new home.
Jim would thrive on walks in open green spaces where there are fewer dogs and minimal traffic, allowing him to relax and enjoy his surroundings. He loves following his nose and exploring all the interesting scents around him. He would also really enjoy regular visits to secure, enclosed fields where he can have some safe off-lead time. Jim would also benefit from fun activities such as agility and trick training.
With the right people by his side, Jim has so much potential to flourish. He is a loving boy who deserves a patient home that understands his needs and will help him grow in confidence, enjoy his walks and live his very best life.
Jim is used to being left home alone for a few hours in his previous home and has been settled during this time. After an initial settling-in period in his new home, Jim should be able to gradually return to being left alone for similar periods.
This pet has a clean bill of health and can be fully insured after rehoming.
Jim will need to be the only dog in his new home as he quite often prefers to do his own thing, However, Jim has shown that he can comfortably share space with other dogs and with careful introductions and management, he may be able to enjoy doggy walking buddies or play friends in the future
Jim would be best suited to a home with older children aged 11 years and over. He has previously lived with children and has been very good with them, including being friendly and comfortable around visiting children. However, we have also seen a more worried side to Jim, along with some sensitivities to noise, so an older, more understanding household would be best suited to his needs.
Jim will need a securely enclosed private garden in his new home with 6ft fencing. This will help will help with his training and to burn off some energy.
