How much training will I need?

Can I be left alone?

Previously Mochi really struggled with being left home alone. He has made really good progress with this, and has managed a couple of hours home alone.

This has been built up in an environment he knows and so in a new home it would need to be gradual.

Do I have any medical conditions?

Mochi has current medical conditions, namely a previous fracture and knee surgery due to a luxating patellar, that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome them and you are a successful match.  

We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking them home. 

Due to the nature of the medical condition, a vet call with one of our onsite vets will be required before the pet goes home. 

Can I live with dogs?

Can I live with cats?

Can I live with small pets?

Additional information

Mochi will bark at other dogs he sees when out on a walk, which he’s undergoing training for, and he would benefit from continuing it in his new home.

He wants to be sociable and does warm up to dogs when meeting them multiple times, he has become good friends with a whippet.

What kind of family am I looking for?

Mochi can live with children aged 11+.

Due to being a stray we are unsure if he has met any children previously, however as he is a little bit of nervous boy onsite we would recommend older children who are dog savvy and that are willing to respect his boundaries.

He has met a few older children since coming into us and has been friendly providing they understand his body language and react appropriately.

What type of environment would suit me?

Mochi will really enjoy having his own private, secure garden where he can train, play and run around securely. He shouldn’t have neighbouring dogs or fencing where he has a risk of seeing through it.
