Do I have any medical conditions?
This pet has current medical concerns, namely Hyperthyroidism and on entry he did have a heart murmur but this has since gone away since his thyroid stabilised, that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome this pet and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical concern, be that historic or ongoing, is discussed with your own vet prior to any book out appointment.

Additional information
He has not lived with a dog before so it may be possible to live with a calm, cat friendly dog. However as an older boy he may prefer to live with a less energetic, older dog that will give him space.
Billy used to live in a pair who he was quite bonded to so he should be able to live with another cat provided there is enough resources for both of them and introductions are done gradually.
He can live with small pets as long as they are securely housed.
Family and environment
What kind of family am I looking for?
At 16, Billy is looking for a peaceful and loving home where he can enjoy his golden years. He is sweet and affectionate but can be quite nervous so any children would need to be ages 7 and over.
What type of environment would suit me?
Billy would need indoor and outdoor access in his new home. Would recommend gradual introductions to outside when settled into new home. Ideally, these introductions should be done through a garden and away from roads. He can use a cat flap.

Meet Billy!
Billy is a gorgeous 16-year-old ginger boy with a very gentle soul and a lot of love still to give.
Billy recently lost his beloved bonded companion and understandably, he is finding things rather difficult without her by his side. After sharing his life with Polly, Billy now has to face the unfamiliar world on his own, so it’s no surprise that he was feeling nervous and unsure to start with.
Billy needs time, patience and a quiet approach while he settles into his new surroundings but underneath that nervous exterior is a sweet, gentle and affectionate boy waiting for someone special to discover him. He absolutely loves his head rubs and gentle strokes and once settled is a complete love bug!
At 16, Billy deserves a peaceful and loving home where he can enjoy his golden years
Things to note
Billy does not travel well – he can get quite stressed so shorter journey is ideal.
