Additional information

There can be other pets in the home, but the rat enclosure will need to be in a room that can be shut off from any cats or dogs.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Rats make excellent pets for all the family; they are inquisitive and affectionate and love to come out and play.

What type of environment would suit me?

Rats need to be housed in a large cage filled with suitable enrichment to keep them interested and active. The ideal size cage for 3-4 rats is: 80cm deep by 50cm wide by 80cm high.

About Bella, Tyra and Cara

Cara, Tyra and Bella are looking for a home together as a trio or with other female/neutered male rat friends. All 3 are very curious and love to come over to see what you are up to. Cara and Tyra are polite with being handled where as Bella can sometimes be a little bit too eager for her food and try to grab you through her cage, or your hands whilst putting the food in. She is quite the mischievous creature and certainly lacks no confidence with people! They all love to have lots to explore such as ropes, hammocks and dig boxes. Free range time is one of their favourite things to do along with pea fishing. If you are interested in rehoming these girls, please do get in touch via the website.
